Update on Files + Backer Feedback Survey

Files, Files, Files!

Hello again from EC3D! Files have been out for a bit now and I've seen lots of awesome prints so far over on the Backer Group! As noted before, updates/changes are occurring to the files as I fix/tweak them, which are all noted in the spreadsheet. If you have not yet looked at the spreadsheet, it's linked to in the BackerKit Digital Rewards description inside BackerKit.

As a reminder if you have not yet gotten access to the files you can see the detailed instructions in THIS UPDATE. If you experience an issue with a file, please verify you have the most recent version of that file, and report any issues to me so that I can rectify them for you and all other backers - you can do so on here via comment, email to [email protected] or on the FB backer group.

Nearly all files have been delivered - I'm working on finalizing the modular river this week.

Reward Download Instructions

There has been a lot of confusion for folks to access rewards so I wanted to post a quick update and instructions:

STEP 1 - Access / create BackerKit Account

If you have not already, go to this link and create/verify an account on Backerkit (using the SAME EMAIL that you use on Kickstarter): https://the-wilds-of-wintertide-3d-printable-tabletop-models.backerkit.com/ - Please note you do not need to have received an email from BackerKit to do this!

STEP 2 - Purchase add-ons and complete survey on BaclerKit

Verify your pledge, and purchase any add-ons you might want. Your extra funds from KS will show up in here, along with your pledge amount+level. You can add additional funds for add-ons if you wish using paypal or credit card

STEP 3 - View Rewards

Once in backerkit you'll see a big green-ish blue 'Get Your Digital Downloads' button - click it!

Once you click this you'll see the individual rewards (including add-ons) that you purchased, You can see your password for the dropbox share, and a link to view it. Each password is different for each reward. Double click the text in the gray box and copy the password, click the dropbox link, then paste the password in to access

STEP 5 - Download individual items you want to print

I do not recommend downloading the entire set yet, as things are changing still (as you see in the spreadsheet). Browse to the specific folder/set you want, click the 'Download' button in the upper right, then  'Direct Download' to save the zip file to your computer.

STEP 6 - Keep up to date on changes in the spreadsheet

The Google Sheet will be updates and I push new models and model updates to the Dropbox. The 'last updated' columns will show changes for specific sets, as well as have notes in those cells indicating what changes were made and when - this helps verify if you downloaded older files, or a repair or new file was pushed to dropbox. This is why I do not recommend downloading everything at this time, as things are still being added and changed!

File Delivery Has Started!

I just started distributing the digital download links! The Bonus Content and Minis are released now, and Scatter/Scenery will hopefully get released within the next few hrs (just finishing up a few things).

Please review yesterday's update if you didn't read it yet to see how the digital rewards are organized. I'm also going to begin charging cards in BackerKit for those who did late pledge or added add-ons outside of Kickstarter (and payed with a card)! File delivery - What you need to know! (please read)

Hello All! KS just notified me of fund release, meaning we are on schedule for file delivery tomorrow! For those of you that have not done one of my Kickstarters before, here's how it work. Each reward (aka "minis", "scatter", "bonus") and each add-on you purchased will have it's own digital distribution in BackerKit. These come in the form of a download link - hosted on dropbox - and a unique password for you to access that download. Drobox has a nice browsing interface online that lets you look through the files, and download individual folders or the entire set (zipped up). 

In addition, I will share a google doc spreadsheet that has tabs for each reward type and more information, including it's location in the dropbox, delivery status (complete, not-yet delivered, partial delivery) as well as a 'last updated date' column, indicating the last time that folder was updated - with comments for each update I pushed in there. If any problems with files, errors, missing files, etc are discovered I will promptly fix and update the spreadsheet, and push new files and update as they are finished for yet unreleased items. It'll all make sense once you see the spreadsheet, the link to which will be included in the digital reward on BackerKit.

When I first release the core rewards your best bet is it NOT download the full set right away, as some stuff will be missing and some tweaks might be made - just grab the individual folder sets you want to print. I'll give the 'all clear' in a KS update when I believe all files are finalized and you can download the entire set if you desire. I usually leave the dropbox up for 12-24 months post KS, so no rush to download - you will have access for a long time.

ADDITIONALLY - I am going to release the digital rewards for all add-ons purchased shortly after posting this update, so you can access and start printing those now! Those are all finalized and good to download, or just grab whichever pieces of them you wish to print - you'll be able to access those via BackerKit for a long time as well.

Look for core KS files coming at you tomorrow!

I just git the "GO" button to start sending out surveys to you all on BackerKit. Historically, a good chunk of people end up with the emails in their spam folder or do not ever receive them, so please take note of this detail - You can access your BackerKit page at any time by just going to backerkit.com and logging in (use the same email as you do for your Kickstarter account), or just visit this URL:

PLEASE NOTE - if you login and do not yet see the project in your account, it's because backerkit is still sending out the surveys - please try again later and it should show up.

When you get a moment, pop into BackerKit and configure any add-ons or pledge changes you want. Even if you don't want add-ons or anything beyond your core pledge, you still need to complete this step for the digital distribution to work!

As noted previously, I will be prepping everything for digital release and will have the rewards spreadsheet and all that fun stuff ready to go hopefully this coming Sunday (pending Kickstarter's fund release, which historically was exactly at the 2 weeks after KS end date).
